Opportunity Description
Our Lunch Clubs meet once a month in a local pub, restaurant or hotel on the same day around midday to about 2.30pm to enjoy a two-course traditional meal consisting of a main course and dessert with tea or coffee for a reduced price.
Volunteer Organisers circulate menus, take member food orders and place orders with venues in advance and then attend the Club on the day to welcome members, collect payments and ensure the event runs smoothly.
Training, ongoing support and travel expenses will be provided.
Organisers are required at The Barley, Newport, the first Wednesday of the month, The Old Orleton Inn, Wellington first Thursday of the month, The Fallow Field, Hadley, first Tuesday of the month
Requirements
Lunch Club Organisers must be able to complete the required tasks and be available to attend each monthly lunch to host the event.
A completed application form and two references are required for this role.
A DBS check is not required.
Agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed and volunteers are supported by an Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin Coordinator.
