Volunteers

Opportunity Description
We work to collect the views, opinions, concerns, and recommendations of the entire cross-section of the Telford and Wrekin community – people of all ages, from all cultures and backgrounds, abilities, interests, employment status, patients, care home residents, carers, relatives, those cared for, and those who work or have worked in health and social care, and associated voluntary organisations.
We also have an active YOUTH network of volunteers and a club for those aged under 18.
Requirements
We seek volunteers who are interested in people, health and social care; who will listen and talk with the general public, join research projects, helping to make a difference in sharing good practice and giving a voice to those raising concerns and issues. You know your neighbourhood, or you are new and want a way to get to know your neighbourhood. You may have relatives, friends, neighbours, colleagues, and a whole network of contacts who have ideas and opinions about the needs for improving health, including mental health, and social care for others - everyone.
We can also offer office-work opportunities, as well as research-survey and report writing experiences.
As a young person you may want opportunities to get involved during the school holidays, or with a small project, that will help provide referenceable experiences for your college/university applications or job seeking.

Voluntary positions with reasonable out-of-pocket expenses available.
You may already be a volunteer with another organisation - we welcome volunteers who are willing to share their time, skills, and enthusiasm within the community.
