Volunteer Telford

What you will do:

The volunteer will be helping the chef in the preparation of meals, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy including fridges

Volunteer will also help in serving tea, coffee and cakes to customers.

Time commitment:

Monday to Friday between the hours from 12 noon till 2pm

Training: 

Volunteers are required to attend food safety training

This role will require a DBS check.

Join our Bucket Brigade and help us with our community bucket collections.

Bucket collections are not only a great way to raise much needed funds for us, but also a great way to connect with our local community.

This is a perfect opportunity if you would like to support us on an ad-hoc or one-off basis. It’s flexible and can easily fit into busy lifestyles.

If you’ve a couple of hours to spare it can really make a huge difference. Money raised through our collections directly supports our caring services.  

Our fundraising diary includes regular collections across the region, anywhere from Dawley Centre to Shrewsbury’s Asda.

Carers Supporting Carers.

Unpaid caregivers support life, well-being and independence reducing the burden on the local economy. At the Carers Partnership Board, as carers and former carers, we are experts by experience and genuinely understand. We offer an independent perspective and are here to make a positive difference to the lives of all our region's carers whatever their age, role, or culture.  We are recruiting Trustees with skills and expertise in Finance and Secretariat. However, we would love to hear from anyone who feels they could contribute towards maintaining and developing the vision of Carers Partnership Board Telford & Wrekin

We are recruiting Trustees with the following skills;

- Treasurer - financial qualifications with knowledge or experience of charity finances.

- Secretariat – excellent administration skills to ensure trustee board meetings are organised and accounted for.

- Trustees – to actively participate during board meetings and work with other trustees to take the Carers Partnership Board forward.

Trustees are the ‘guardians of purpose’, making sure that all decisions put the needs of our beneficiaries first. YOU COULD make a real difference to people’s lives and the work of the Carers Partnership Board Telford & Wrekin.

The Hub on the Hill is going to be opening, once a month, the “Memory Lane” Café for individuals who care for or experience the effects of Dementia. In doing so we are looking for members of the local community who can volunteer their time to support this new venture. Are you interested? If so ask yourself these questions:

- Do you want to support the Hub on the Hill, and get involved in community projects?

- Do you have a few spare hours once a month on a Tuesday between the hours of 10.00 and 12.30pm

- Do you have experience, or have supported individuals with Dementia in the past, or are just interested in making a difference to someone’s life living with Dementia or caring for someone with Dementia  

- Do you have any hidden talents, such as arts and crafts, singing, story telling and knowledge of the local area?
