Volunteer Telford

Volunteers needed to help to run the Parent and Toddler Group which runs on a Friday morning 10-11.30am (volunteers would need to be there 9.30-12pm)

Telford Sailability provides sailing for anyone with care needs.

We sail on Mondays and Fridays

Our volunteers help out when they can, either part or all of the day. Normally posts go out a few days earlier on either our messenger page or by text, start and finish times. Our volunteers then say if they can help.

You don’t need to know how to sail as we can teach you. You don’t even need to go on the water if you don’t want to. If you don’t want to, or cannot come to the lake there are other tasks that need doing.

If you are good at putting together visual media, for the web including event posters and regular content, please get in touch.

This role is done mostly from the volunteers own home, in their own time. Occasional face to face meetings with rest of volunteers – maybe on Zoom or F2F.  Time volunteered is in correlation with skill of the volunteer, but there needs to be a regular, at least weekly input and monitoring of same.

You will need to attend our 3 main events:  a seedswap, a plantswap and a harvest event during the year and take photos.  Each event held on a Saturday.

Attending our monthly business/social meetings, once a month, first Tuesday of each month in the evening.

Location:

In their own home and business meeting in the Cock Hotel Wellington.

Online seminars are available from the wider Transition network and gives a wider view.

AFC Telford is looking to recruit more volunteers to help on match days at the Telford Ground.

Would you like to be part of a friendly team of volunteers, and can you spare a few hours on Saturdays and sometimes during the week, for home games only?

Not every game requires a full turnstile crew and there are occasions when we need people to cover illness etc. for our regular staff; if you can’t commit to every game don’t worry, once we have a full team, others can cover you once in a while so we can be flexible.

AFC Turnstile Operators

The role is very simple – you are based in the turnstiles, provided with a scanner on a mobile phone, and all we ask is that you use the camera function (which is linked to the relevant ticket checking software) to check tickets as fans arrive – it is that easy!

You would be required from 13.30 to 15.15 on Saturdays and 18.15 to 20.00 for mid-week games when we play at home.

The bonus is that if you wish to stay and enjoy the game when your turnstile closes, you get free entry - or if you prefer to go home that is fine too.
