Volunteer Work Placement Support

We are looking for a volunteer Workplace Support worker to join our team, to support vunerable adults to develop work skills as part of a new exciting project to enable people in their journey towards employment.
You would work alongside staff and directly with customers to support them in ways such as one to one support in work experience placements, ensuring people have that guidance to build solid work skills in areas like health and safety, completing work tasks, following employment rules and other tasks set.
You will receive the same training and support as the rest of our team.
The Skills and Enterprise Hub runs daily Monday-Friday 9.00am-4.00pm. We are looking for people who can help for a minimum of half a day a week during these times. How ever we do need a variety of potenital hours depending on need of customer and employer.
- An awareness of the needs vulnerable adults and adults with disabilities may have .
- Willing to share skills and experience with others
- Someone with patience, good communication skills, willing to attend training.
- All volunteers would have to undertake a DBS process (criminal records check). This requires being able to supply two references and certain documentation such as a birth certificate, driving license or passport. -Volunteers must be aged 18 years or over.
You will receive online training in - Care certificate, Health and Safety, Introductions to Council procedures and Customer service
You will also receive First Aid and MAPA training.
