Managing the Club’s income and expenditure in accordance with club rules.

Producing an end of year financial report at the AGM.

Regularly reporting back to the club committee on all financial matters.

Setting and monitoring of financial planning and forecast.

Ensure everyone handling money keeps proper records and documentation.

Arranging handover or succession planning for the position.

Ensure adequate financial systems and controls are in place.

Monitor the systems for bookkeeping, receipts payments and petty cash.

We are looking for a volunteer support worker to work alongside our day services supporting adults with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, Severe Learning Disabilities and Complex Care needs.

This service supports vulnerable adults to actively live full and enriched lives giving as much independence and wellbeing for the person as possible.

We need volunteers to support people in a variety of different ways such as supporting with sport and leisure activities both in house and in the community, sensory art, sensory communication, yoga and fitness, sensory cooking and massage and wellbeing.

You will receive the same training and support as the rest of our team.

Southwood and Lakewood Wellbeing Hub are open daily, Monday-Friday 9.00am-4.00pm.

We are looking for people who can help for a minimum of half a day a week during these times, or to do regular workshops on specific activities.

Read Easy Telford and Shropshire East is affiliated to Read Easy UK, a national charity that helps adults learn to read and which has nearly 60 groups across England.

Read Easy Telford & Wrekin was established in 2019 and continues to grow to be a highly impactful local group with an increasing number of Reading Pairs (Reading Coach and Reader).

It is run by a hard-working, dedicated group of team members, all of whom are also volunteers.
The group is now seeking a new Literacy Specialist.

Our Literacy Specialists provide support with literacy issues to the Coordinator and Reading Coaches and assist in running the Reading Coach meetings.

Our volunteer Literacy Specialists feel a real sense of pride in giving practical solutions to their Coordinators and Reading Coaches.

As a Community Collection Volunteer, you will represent Blood Cancer UK in your local community by organising and hosting your own bucket collections at venues such as supermarkets, sports clubs, stations, high streets, or other public locations.

You will arrange your own team of volunteers to engage with the public, raise awareness about Blood Cancer UK, and encourage donations in a friendly and approachable manner.

This flexible, year-round role allows you to organise events around your availability. We encourage volunteers to aim for 3-4 events or collections each year. Our Regional Managers will support you every step of the way, providing training and all necessary materials to ensure your events are successful.

Please note, the minimum age for this role is 18. This is a volunteer opportunity where you will play a key role in fundraising and raising awareness in your community.
