Shropshire Disability Network is a local registered charity run in its entirety by volunteers. We are are growing so we need to break down key roles. We are looking for IT help. If you are familar and enjoy imputing information to be uploaded and authorised on our bespoke website then this may be your ideal opportunity. Note we have no premises, all our volunteers work from home but you will receive support from experienced volunteers and contact with our webmaster/secretary and newsletter editor.
In return we can give you a reference should you be looking for paid work. Likewise, may be you are at college or university and would like to get experience ready for the workplace You would be adding events for authorisation and upload to our website.
If you are passionate about helping people of all ages with a disability and/or carers then you will find this role very rewarding.
We have a standard events form that you would need to complete. The information would be taken from either a poster, email or other source. You will input the data, which could be a meeting, event, fundraiser that may be of interest to our members. You should be able to work methodically and on your own but you will have guidance and support from experienced volunteers. You can choose to expand this role as after a period of time, we can give you access to authorise and publish the items. This is a great opportunity for someone at college or university, someone between jobs or a retired person or someone with a few hours a month to help us.
We will reimburse necessary out of pocket expenses. We like to recognise our volunteers by awarding certificates of appreciation and other ways. Training will be given.
