We are looking for volunteers to deliver business modules and to create and deliver content around starting your own business and wellbeing on a voluntary basis.

Local homelessness organisations Stay, Maninplace, Kip and YMCA are looking for flexible people who just want to help in general, wouldn't mind being an extra pairs of hands and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
This could involve being an extra pair of hands during group sessions and helping out with the associated tasks. This also could include making drinks, handing out materials, helping clients, setting up and clearing away the activities etc.
Volunteer Responsibilities (the main tasks that the volunteer will be expected to carry out) This involves being an extra pair of hands during group sessions and helping out with the associated tasks. This might include making drinks, handing out materials, helping clients, setting up and clearing away the activities etc. Time Commitment (days/hours to be covered by the volunteer) The successful applicant would need to be available at the time the group sessions run. These vary and would therefore need to be agreed based on the availability of the volunteer. DBS Check Required? Volunteers are required to undertake a DBS Check. Skills / Personal Qualities Required (e.g. communication, IT literate, specialist knowledge, non-judgemental etc.) Good communication skills, friendly and approachable with a helpful nature, a non-judgmental approach to people. Benefits (what the volunteer will get from this opportunity) Volunteering has benefits for the individual. It provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge, it can increase social skills and self-confidence and can be a stepping stone for employment. You will be given a certificate to mark your achievements during placements and references can be provided.
