Opportunity Description

Can you spare a little time to help someone feel more confident online?

What is a digital champion?

A Digital Champion helps local residents feel more confident using technology in everyday life. This might include navigating device functions, getting online, accessing services, or learning new digital skills.

You don't need to be a technical expert. If you're patient, understanding and enjoy helping others, you could make a real difference.

Accessing public services online.

Using the NHS app.

Understanding the benefits of being online for things like shopping and banking.

Setting up communication tools and apps like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Using their phone, tablet, laptop or other digital devices.

What's involved?

Supporting people at digital hubs in the community.

Helping people use devices, apps and online services safely and confidently.

Taking the time to listen, answer questions and help people learn at their own pace.

What you'll gain

The satisfaction of helping others.

Valuable volunteering experience.

Digital champion training.

Flexible volunteering to fit around your availability.

Travel expenses reimbursed.

Funded DBS (Disclosure and Barring service) check.
