Service Delivery Volunteers work alongside our staff teams to provide support to victims of crime helping them to move beyond crime via emotional and practical support both face to face and online.

The Telephone Chat Scheme supports older people who may be struggling with loneliness and/or isolation, particularly in relation to the anxiety and loss of confidence caused by the Covid-19 isolation period.
The role is involves working from our home, calling clients once or more times a week at agreed times, to chat, listen and check that they’re coping OK.
Good listening and communication skills. Understanding of the needs of older people in the community. Patience and sensitivity. Understanding of confidentiality. Reliability to keep to agreed times but flexibility when needed.
Time commitment is dependent on the number of clients, and length of calls. Volunteers need to be be able to commit for a minimum of 3 months.
