Volunteer Telford

No Panic provides online and telephone support for all those whose lives are affected by anxiety disorders. 

We are looking for caring, sympathetic and understanding individuals to volunteer on our helpline.

You will be required to go through our training which is an hour a week for 8 weeks and commit to a 3 hr shift each week.

We provide a lot of ongoing support for our volunteers and there is the opportunity to progress to mentoring.

This vacancy is ideal for anyone, particularly   those who have experienced anxiety and want to give back to the community and those who have a bit of extra time to dedicate to the cause.

We rely on our brilliant volunteers who give their time to help our charity in so many ways. There are many great volunteering opportunities to get involved in, even an hour makes a big difference.

Our volunteers can transform the lives of people living with sight loss, whether it is raising our puppies, sighted guiding, collecting funds or cheering on our event participants. There really is something for everyone!

We recognise the extraordinary efforts of all of our volunteers and we're really proud to have achieved the Investing in Volunteers accreditation for good practice in volunteer management.

We know that without our volunteers, our charity could not continue its life changing work. We need your help.

We are looking for:

Fundraisers in the Telford and Wrekin area.

Assist the local fundraising team and promoting and taking part in events and activities. Flexible time commitment

Managing the Club’s income and expenditure in accordance with club rules.

Producing an end of year financial report at the AGM.

Regularly reporting back to the club committee on all financial matters.

Setting and monitoring of financial planning and forecast.

Ensure everyone handling money keeps proper records and documentation.

Arranging handover or succession planning for the position.

Ensure adequate financial systems and controls are in place.

Monitor the systems for bookkeeping, receipts payments and petty cash.

At Cats Protection we help thousands of cats every year and the majority of these success stories are thanks to the dedication and effort of our passionate volunteers.

Our Volunteer Champion Team Leaders support local volunteer groups by leading a team of others that provide recruitment, induction and recognition support to wider volunteer groups and teams. 

What you can expect to be doing

Recruiting the Volunteer Champions Team of volunteers. 

Allocating tasks and activities to other members of the volunteer champion’s team.  Identifying ways to involve volunteers. 

Providing support, encouragement, and leadership.

Promoting a culture of volunteering best practice. 

Encouraging volunteer feedback.

Our Volunteer Champion Team Leaders usually spend 3 to 4 hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.
