Why do we need you?
Following major redevelopment, The Anstice will be a community hub complete with café, library, meeting space and a beautiful sprung-floor ballroom. With a full programme of classes, activities and events, The Anstice hopes to once again be at the heart of the Madeley community. As a multi-functional facility, we are looking for volunteers with wide and varying knowledge, skills and experience.
The role of Marketing and PR Assistant offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical marketing experience within a new organisation. Volunteers will assist with promoting The Anstice, and the activities within it, to both the local community and communities further afield. This role would suit someone with wide-ranging skills from photography through to blog-writing.
What activities will you be involved in?
- Preparing posts for social media
- Drafting press releases
- Designing newsletters, posters and other print
- Photographing events
- Updating the website
- Distributing posters and flyers in the local community

The Anstice will provide you with an induction and any relevant training. All our volunteers have regular contact with the Community Outreach Manager, who offers support and guidance, supervision, and will provide a reference for any future roles you wish to pursue.
