The Anstice Events Assistant Volunteer
Suitable for -
Opportunity Description
Why do we need you?
Following major redevelopment, The Anstice will be a community hub complete with café, library, meeting space and a beautiful sprung-floor ballroom. With a full programme of classes, activities and events, The Anstice hopes to once again be at the heart of the Madeley community. As a multi-functional facility, we are looking for volunteers with wide and varying knowledge, skills and experience.
Events are key to the economic sustainability of The Anstice. They vary from charity balls to band nights, and more often that not, they require many hands to be a success. Our events occur sporadically throughout the year, so this role would be great for someone more flexible with their time. Volunteering for events is a fantastic confidence-builder and will improve your overall skillset.
What activities will you be involved in?
- Attending event planning meetings
- Setting up and cleaning down
- Stewarding
- Selling raffle tickets
- Manning stalls
- Working as part of a team
What can you gain from this opportunity?
Volunteering with The Anstice can give you the opportunity to try something new, gain experience, develop skills, improve your career prospects, build confidence and meet new people.
The Anstice will provide you with an induction and any relevant training. All our volunteers have regular contact with the Community Outreach Manager, who offers support and guidance, supervision, and will provide a reference for any future roles you wish to pursue.
