We are recruiting for a voluntary secretary to join our Board of Trustees . Signal supports people who are Deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus, in the UK and internationally. We aim to break down barriers to inclusivity. We do this by challenging perceptions and improving access to healthcare, education, employment and services.
Duties & Time Commitment Preparing agendas Arranging meetings (in person and via video call) Taking and distributing minutes Sitting on appraisal, recruitment and disciplinary panels as required Ensuring that the charity pursues its stated purposes Attending a minimum of six forum meetings per year and commit to a minimum of ten hours per month.

We’re looking for someone with strong organisational ability, who is passionate about the issues Signal seeks to address. In this role you will show excellent listening skills and have some knowledge of administration and committee procedures. Ideally, you will be familiar with taking minutes and live within driving distance to Shrewsbury, where we’re based. If you have secretarial experience - even better! However we’d also like to encourage applications from people who are keen to learn. Trustee training will be provided.
