Volunteer Telford

Service Delivery Volunteers work alongside our staff teams to provide support to victims of crime helping them to move beyond crime via emotional and practical support both face to face and online.

Approx. 3hrs per week

Events Assistants Volunteering Role opportunities to help support with annual Lawley Christmas Fayre event taking place on Saturday 7th December 2024.

Event is organised in partnership with Lawley & Overdale Parish Council, Bournville Village Trust and Lawley Partnership Board.

A volunteer briefing, when necessary, will be held before the event, either on the day or via a virtual meeting. Otherwise, information will be passed on via your group leader prior to the event.

Randlay Valley is in the heart of our community, close to Telford Town Park and within easy walking / cycling distance of the Town Centre, Hollinswood, Randlay and Stafford Park.

Hollinswood & Randlay Parish Council manages this Open Green Space for the enjoyment of our community and visitors.

The Valley is a large area with identified paths, wooded areas, meadows and fields and a wide range of flora and fauna.  The Friends of Hollinswood & Randlay Valley is a volunteer group of enthusiastic people who help to keep the area tidy, litter-free and to make this an enjoyable place to visit. 

We welcome lots of local people, for walking or dog-walks, cycling and picnics.  Within the Valley we have created a Woodland School which is enjoyed by Scouts and School Children.

We need volunteers on the last Tuesday of the month.

Drivers take older people to the parties and stay with them to enjoy the get-together. Over time, drivers and older guests get to know each other well and together you will spend many hours full of fun, laughter, and stories.

As a tea party driver, you liaise with your group coordinator and take older guests to and from the tea parties each month. Staying at the tea party is part of your role, so it’s much more than being a driver.
