Helping customers on the shop floor & providing good all-round customer service.

Promoting our campaigns and any in store sales to customers.

Working on window and shop displays to make them look their best.

Keeping the shop tidy, clean and well organised – some light housekeeping.

Helping your fellow volunteers and staff with customer queries.

We can reimburse reasonable travelling expenses and we provide tea, coffee and biscuits. You will also be able to get a 25% discount on donated goods, and get access to an online discounts platform and virtual GP.

Our minimum age to volunteer is 17, but we can accept 16-year-olds through our work experience opportunity

Wednesday Wizards after school club.

We have vacancies for a couple of volunteers to assist our Team Leader with the Wednesday Wizards after school club.

What would you do

There are various activities including indoor games, board games, arts & crafts, (occasional) cookery, outdoor games and visit to local play park. If you have other suggestions they would be welcomed.

You would be working in small groups of 5 or 6 children aged between 5- 11.

Light refreshments are offered within the session.

Time

3.15pm until 5.15pm  term time only.

Telford Together with Refugees is a volunteer-led small charity.  Established in January 2025, we organise our offer into 7 pillars of activity: Help with Basics, Opportunity to Learn, Access to Exercise, Wellbeing Activities, Advice and Information, Help in a Crisis, and Generating Resources.

We have a range of volunteer opportunities supporting our work with people new into our local community, specifically those who are seeking asylum or are refugees. 

If you have time to offer, we will seek to utilise that by matching you to a role that will make a difference and prove rewarding to you too. 

This could be through befriending, learning activities and English classes, sport and exercise, fundraising events, donations management, charity administration, volunteer recruitment or another activity that suits your talents and interests.

Our administration volunteers support several departments across the hospice in a wide range of activities - from helping with data entry, scanning and photocopying to handling post, dealing with enquiries and general administrative support.

This fantastic behind-the-scenes support helps our hospice services run smoothly and efficiently. If you’re friendly and organised with basic IT skills or an admin whizz with time to spare, becoming an administration volunteer could be the perfect opportunity for you.
